If this may pass for the Black Forest it will apply to Baiersbronn, too. The pictures of Baiersbronn and the surrounding area will show the evidence. Numbers of villages around Baiersbronn like Schwarzenberg, Huzenbach, Klosterreichenbach have incoperated since the year 1974. Click at the The region of Baiersbronn in the Black Forest pictures on the survey map to learn more about the villages.

From "The cold heart" by Wilhelm Hauff:
Anyone travelling through Swabia should make sure he has a little time to spare to see the Black Forest. not so much on account of the trees - though it would be hard to find so many gigantic fir trees anywhere else - but to ee the people. For the people of the Black Forest are not at all like the other who live around them. They are tall, broad-shouldered, and stronger than ordinary fold. It's as if the invigorating morning wind, blowing through the fir tree and filling their lungs, gave them clearer eye, and hearts that beat more strongly, if more roughly, than those of the men who live in the river valleys and plains. Their custom and dress, their tall figures and proud bearing, distinguish them from folk who live outside the Black Forest.
